Title: P89LV51RD2 reset circuit
Post by: Nitin on October 29, 2004, 09:53:41 AM
Hello all,

I'm having problems with my reset circuit. I'm trying to program P89LV51RD2. Right now we just have a button to reset the controller. Can somebody give me an example of a reset circuit that could be used?

Thank you,

Nitin

I guess the best reset circuit is one that uses a supervisor IC. The datasheets of such devices should have example circuits in them.

Hi nitin,
you place just 10uf to vcc and rst pin and a 10k ohm resistor in between rst and gnd pin. its sufficeint for reset the chip. if you r facing problem on isp than just open flash magic select chip go to ISP menu select read signatur byte it will as for reset the device in the isp menu than swith on the device it will detect and will give you signature byte remeber dont pull down psen pin like 89c51rd2 it is not required in 89v51rd2 it is very simple and easy.
