Title: usb flash magic

hi friends
 i want to program my microcontrollers from my laptop but now a days laptop does not come with the com port but the usb only .. can i use usb to com converter or is ther any usb flash magic available

please help me

What good would that do you.  I know of no USB chip that FM can program.

Use an RS232 to USB cable that when installed shows a COM port in the device manager. I have an IOGear one which works fine. Apparently some work and some don't, depending on how good or bad their COM port emulation is.
