Hi,
        If ICP can program most lpc9xx, is it possible to program ISP code to lpc chip? After that, the chip can be used in ISP mode. I have been tried on PIC chip from microchip, but not on lpc one. In PIC, I used bootloader and ICD2 (In Circuit Debugger). Bootloader is easily used to flash chip via rs 232. If any corruption of bootloader program, I use ICD2 to program bootloader on PIC and recover the bootloader again. Any idea?

           According to your ispbackdoor.a51,

If you have any trouble with ISP and you loose the boot vector, you must to shut down your system and put a clip from TXD pin to GND. Then power up your system, remove the clip, and your controller will be in ISP state. This controller will be in "fesh state" I mean, when you power it up it will be in ISP mode.

From my understanding, I have to make short-circuited from TXD pin to GND. For example, I want to recover ISP mode of P89LPC935FA and then
1) Shut down the system,
2) pin 18 and pin 7 (GND) have to be connected.
3) Power up the system, then remove the short-circuit from pin 18 and pin 7.
4) now p89LPC935FA can be used in ISP mode again. Meaning, the chip can communicate with Flash Magic.
Is it correct?

          Thanks for input, I have searched and read through about ICP. According to AN10258_2.pdf, I have to use lpc932 for ICP. Is it possible to use other lpc like lpc936? And have you tried MOSFET instead of using BJT?

ICP is very much more complicated in hardware.....  but does not need a stable core clock source and the PCK and PDA are synchronously clocked in side the LPC932A1 when programmed.

Do you have any comment or caution to build ICP?

          As a hobbyist, I just want to try lpc products which have several functions with 8051 core. I find that lpc MCUs are serious in programming and sensitive to common errors such as glitch of powr supply, human errors of FM. If possible, please indicate programming lpc without isp corruption. I read through the forum, still cannot find any detail instructions.
          As I mention above, please help how to use notouch with detail instructions with MCB900.

            I am a MCU hobbyist. I am interested in your notouch code from http://www.flashmagictool.com/assets/resources/NoTouchLPC93x.zip. Currently, I use 89LPC936 with MCB900 (version 4) from Keil. I have three lpc936 which cannot communicate with flash magic because of ISP corrupution. Now, I have last lpc936 that still communicate with FM. So I would like to use your notouch code to prevent the ISP corruption. I have a little knowledge of assembly language so that I used Keil C complier.
            It would be nice if you help me how to use your notouch code. Here is my hardware detail.
Board: MCB 900 version 4
MCU : P89LPC936FA
FM   : version 3.59.227

           Thank for suggestion, So ICP is more reliable than ISP? Is it safety to use ICP without corruption of ISP on LPC that programmed by factory? Actually, I do not like to have problem with flashing LPC device so I looking for safe way to flash it.
I used to flash PIC microcontroller there is no worry at all. Is it possible to get safe way to flash LPC devices without any problem?

        Thank for reply, Do you have any suggestion to avoid corruption of ISP on LPC9xx? I did not touch ISP check box but it still has connection problem. My board is MCB900 and LPC936. Please guide some factors these can corrupt ISP?

               I put a crystal (11.0592MHz) on MCB900. But I did not uncheck ISP check box. What do you suggest in that case? Is ISP corrupted?

     I have MCB900 with 89LPC936. It is working fine for three months. One day, I tried to use "Device Configuration" from ISP menu. From 89LPC9xx Configuration Dialog box, I changed Clock: to External Clock on XTAL1 and pressed Reprogram button. After that, I have lost connection with Flash Magic. What should I do? Please help .
