Problem with Philips 89C51RD2
« on: February 27, 2005, 08:39:27 am »

I am using Philips 89C51RD2. I had programmed the controller for more than 30 times then suddenly it was not working. It gives me message 'Unable to connect '.I have changed right from MAX 232 to Serial Port and also have implemented the reset pin configuration. But didnt help.
I talked to one person, he said there might be some problem with the Flash memory of controller. Is there any possibilty of some part it getting corrupted....?

Some also have suggested to use parallel programmer to erase the total memory of RD2.
So that when next time I use it using ISP mode it will start programming..

Please reply soon.

get rid of the RC reset, add a supervisor, then restore the chip in a parallel programmer.
