Hello everybody
I just downloaded the latest FlashMagic version 3.51.205 and trying to connect to an Lpc2103 on a Olimex starter kit.
The message I get is "Operation Failed (Failed to autobaud - step 1)" when I try the Read Signature function and any other.
Already double checked all the jumpers and using a "Real 232" PC interface (not usb->232).
The board correctly reset itself when an attempt to communicate via ISP is done and rs232 signals seen with an oscilloscope seem to be regular.
Is anybody experiencing similar problem with this chip or program version?
Any help will be greatly appreciated as i'm stuck on this at the moment.

How are you placing the device into ISP mode? Are you pushing buttons or using DTR and RTS? If you are using DTR and RTS to control P0.14 and reset have you used a scope to confirm that it is controlling the signals as expected?

I discovered something. The problem wasn't entering ISP mode.
I have been able to connect to the Lpc2103 only using the monitor utility of FlashMagic, not the normal sequence. I followed the lpc2103 user manual, using the "? <CR><LF> sequence, and get sinchronized after many many attempt.
Introduced the string "Synchronized<CR><LF>" and so on.
In this way was possible to erase all sectors and unlock the CRP as I
needed. The point is that probably the cycle of attempt done by
FlashMagic and Sill is not able to syncronize the Lpc2103. It has to be
done "manually" , looking at the answer....
Has anybody tried those utilities with Lpc2103 already? As I wrote the
same Lpc2103 behaviour is shown by my new board and an Olimex starter
kit.
Any commment could be useful
thanks again , Mauro
