Just switched from the Philips downloader to the FlashMagic.  While running Windows Media Player and Flash Magic with no other programs running, Flashmagic has caused the system to blue screen and reboot twice in a row now while programming a part.   Anyone seen this kind of behavior?

Andy Ayre

No. Can you write down then post the contents of the blue screen?
Are you using a USB to RS232 cable? If so does it happen when USB drivers are not involved?

Probably easier to take a picture of the blue screen with a digital camera and post the picture. Make sure all text is readable.

Does it happen when you are doing something specific with Flash Magic? Or is it random?
Does it happen if Media Player is not running?
What is Media Player doing at the time?
Which version of Windows are you using?

Hi Andy,
It was with a TI USB<->RS232 device and their device drivers (TUSB3410).
I have just switched to a Prolific USB<->RS232 converter but have been gunshy to keep Windows Media Player running.

If it does occur with this scenario I will grab the digital camera and post.

Thanks.
Bill

Thanks for letting me know. USB drivers are often the cause of BSODs... Please post a screenshot if it does happen again.
