Well, I have a possible solution, but it is more effort than downloading another copy......

I suggest you uninstall your copy (important)
Reinstall it.
Let me know if that worked.

Which version did you install?

Please try uninstalling then checking everything is removed:

  - check the folder where you installed Flash Magic is gone.
  - check the registry entries are removed. They are in:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Embedded Systems Academy\FlashMagic

Note you edit the registry at your own risk. To view the registry go to Start -> Run and enter "regedit".

Restart your PC
Install the latest version.

If you still have the problem them something must have changed in your Windows installation recently. Did you install anything, especially internet related software?

Do this at your own risk:

Start regedit and go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Embedded Systems Academy\FlashMagic

Edit the entry "ehu" and set it to the value 0x00000000

Start Flash Magic

This should disable the EmbeddedHints feature (same as choosing disable from the menu entry) and therefore Flash Magic should not need sockets of any kind.

in fact i don't know why but the istallation didn't work well so there wasn't any key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Embedded Systems Academy\FlashMagic

after 2 consecutive try it's work well
 thanks a lot
bye

The installation doesn't create anything in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Embedded Systems Academy\FlashMagic. The values in there are created by running the application.

So did you uninstall and reinstall two times and it started working?
