Title: Is FlashMagic 1.84 stable ?
Post by: Jeffrey Chang on December 10, 2003, 01:33:25 AM
To whom may concern,
Today, I tried using FlashMagic v1.84 instead of v1.83
for P89C61x2 under 14.318 MHz (6 clocks).
It can erase flash banks but hang on programming phase.
Therefore I switch back to v1.83 !

The algorithmn to send hex files was improved in 1.84. Please do the following:

1. Start Flash Magic
2. Press F1 so [Debug] appears at the top
3. Reset the device into ISP mode
3. Start programming
4. Close Flash Magic when it hangs
5. Email me (address below) the generated debug file C:\flashmagic.fmd
6. Delete C:\flashmagic.fmd

Can you state your setting, for example :
1. Buad Rate
2. Communication(How do you set ?)
