Hi All

Can anyone say how to connect this uC to a serial port to program it ? I have already FLIP for program but still need hardware connection.

89C51RD2 does not identify your chip. However since you mention FLIP, I assume iyt is the AT or the T. If so, no one HERE will know, this is a FlashMagic forum. Find a Flip forum. If, however your chip is P89C51RD2 and NOT AT89C51RD2 or T89C51RD2, Flip will not work.

P.... = use Flash Magic
AT... = use FLIP
T.... = use FLIP

Without the letter there is no answer to the above questions. There is one way for the T89C51Rx2 another for the AT89C51Rx2, and another for the P89C51Rx2H... and yet another for the P89C51Rx2... where the letter after the 2 is not a 'H'.

So, if you try to keep it secret what chip you use, I will keep the answer secret as well.
