Title: detecting the MCU
Post by: Maarten Stottelaar on April 22, 2003, 02:46:01 AM
I'm using flashmagic a lot, most of the times I do the ISP-entry trough a manual or on board PSEN/RESET.
Sometimes Flashmagic does not detect the chip. If I use Hyperterminal to see if there is any communication it always responds to keypresses. After I've done that, Flashmagic always does detect the chip....... I've tried it on several PC's and OS's and the results are about the same. Can it have anything to do with the way flashmagic tries to connect? If hyperterminal can why can't Flashmagic.

regards,

Maarten

Please read the Flash Magic application note 4 - available on the Flash Magic web page. Following the steps in that document will help you and me to determine what the problem is.
