i m using SBC with P89V51RD2FN , MAX 232,RS 232 CABLE, 12 MHz crystal
i want to program P89V51RD2FN with flash magic in isp mode.
i m using lateset flash magic version 2.47 (DLL version 1.95). but my problem is whenever i try to communicate thru serial cable i get the error msg saying that " Reset the device in ISP mode now " with cancal button.
i have read previous msgs of ur forum for same problem. so i have tried
1. resetting the ckt many times when i got error msg.
2. switch on & off the power supply.
but still i have the same problem the chip is new one. Is there any other solution? or should i have to depend upon parallel programmer?

The general recommendation is use a lower baudrate (what is the baudrate you are attempting now?). 9600 should be generally fine. There is a hint on my website on which baudrates are suitable for autobauding with particular oscillator frequencies.
