Title: changing HEX-file
Post by: JohnG on October 02, 2007, 08:10:18 AM
I would like to start Flash Magic with the Settings-file directly to have the right microcontroller, frequency and HEX-file at startup.
This doesn't work, the Flash Magic software always starts with the last used fms-file instead and only if you use 'File' & 'Open Settings' in the menu then you will  get the right settings.

Is there a way to give the right settings to the Flash Magic software during startup?
I would like to use it with a ShellExecute in my software.

Thanks,

John

It should be possible to start it on the command line with something like:

flashmagic.exe C:\foo.fms

Does that not work? If not does double-clicking on an fms file start Flash Magic? If that doesn't work then try reinstalling Flash Magic.

Double clicking of the fms-file does starts the Flash Magic program but not with the settings from this fms-file.
Using FlashMagix.exe c:\test.fms does not work.

Does anybody know how Flash Magic gets hs settings at startup? Is there another file somewhere?

Thanks,

John

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling Flash Magic. Post back if it still doesn't work. Make sure you are using the latest version.

If a settings file is not used then the settings are read from the registry.
