Title: General question
Post by: deboeck on May 12, 2009, 05:24:40 PM
Dear,

Is it possible to use the flash magic tool for the following scenario:
    - a device connects over a public network to a server
    - the server hosts flash magic
    - the device requests for an application update
    - flash magic programs the device

Did anyone try this?

Thanks,
Bart

It should work, by tunneling the ISP commands through TCP and increasing the timeouts. However it's probably better to get the Production System version of Flash Magic and write a python script to fetch a hex file from a web server then program it. Details of scripting are in the manual for all versions of Flash Magic.

If you PC's at either end ....then you could run VNC.
