hi guys i was hoping someone might be able to help me i have built a isp programmer for a p89c51rc2bn using the same circuit in an461 but only diffrences is i have tied p2.6 p2.7 to vcc through 10k resistors and for a reset circuit i am using a ds1223 reset assistant but it won't write to read the chip i have tried the terminal test sending a U i have checked if it transmitts and recieves the U which it does but flashmagic says that it can not communicate recieve or transmitt makesure nothing is using the port and in the terminal in flashmagic if i send a U i get a strange looking f so if anyone can help me i would be greatful

hi guys i was hoping one of you guys might  be able to tell if i measure with my  oscilloscope on one of the xtal pins of my micro should i see a sinewave of some sort because i am not sure if my crystal oscillator is working

hi guys i am hoping someone could help me i have made myself programmer. It is for a p89c51rd2hba chip but i can't get it to connect in flash magic. It doesn't connect at any board rate. My setup is as follows it has a 10mhz crystal, i have vpp going to vcc 5 reset going to ground via a o.1uf capacitor and psen is going to ground  p2.7 is going to 5 volts i am using a max232 which is connected to tx and rx.Ale is connectd to 5 volts
if any one could give me some help i would greatful
