LPC2138 : Can't display RAM memory area

FM won't display the RAM area of memory from an LPC2138 instead give "Operation Failed" message.
All other ISP functions seem to work correctly - erase, program, verify etc.
The display memory operation works OK for any of the ROM areas.

LPC2138 is in an embedded system running at 22.5MHz clock.
No code protection features are enabled.
Communication is by RS232 and the fault occurs at any communcation baud rate.

Can anyone help ?
