Flash Magic & LPC2478

Dear All

I have a few queries regarding Flash Magic Software

1. If oscillator & baudrate are selected in flashmagic then why is auto bauding required?
2. At power on, which oscillator is selected by LPC2478?
3. As per user manual, the internal RC Oscillator is selected on power on. So if the external oscillator is not oscillating or is not connected, then will flash magic detect the chip signature?

After reset the bootloader doesn't know what baudrate will be used by Flash Magic, so it detects the baudrate through measurement.

The frequency is entered because it is needed by the bootloader to time flash programming cycles.

I believe the bootloader uses the internal RC oscillator.
