Newbie question: Programming P89C51RC2BN

Hi,
I want to make a project including the P89C51RC2BN microcontroller.
I understand that I can program the Flash Memory using ISP.
How is this implemented?
I just need to connect a RS232 cable between the PC with the FlashMagic software to the RX,TX,GND of my controller?
Then what?
Reset the controller?

Please Help.

NOOOO, you need a MAX232(equivalent)

You might want to read Philips Application Note AN461 - which you can get from www.philipsmcu.com. Although it is for the older Rx2s, it still contains the basics, at 95% of it applies to your device as well.

In short:

Use MAX232 to connect your device to a PC COM Port
Reset the device into ISP mode (reset the device while pulling /EA high, /PSEN low, etc. - see the datasheet)
Start using Flash Magic.
