I have a question about using the Flash Magic application on an Android device and the possibilities of porting this application.

We are thinking of using a GUI based on an embedded CPU module which runs on Android. This module communicates with a (real-time) controller module using a serial interface. We were wondering if we could make use of (parts) of Flash Magic to execute on the Android device, so that we can use this device for programming the CPU on the controller module.
Maybe, FlashMagic has already been ported to Linux.

Could you please provide me with information about the possibilities.

Thanks in advance.

Flash Magic run on Linux by using WINE, so not really a port.

We could do this as a custom port. Easiest approach would be for us to develop a C-based library that targets your specific hardware, which you can then access from your Java application (using the Java Native Interface).

If that sounds interesting please contact me directly to discuss further: aayre .at. esacademy .dot. com
