Title: Erroneous CRC after upgrade
Post by: S.Panichi on September 24, 2005, 04:18:58 AM
I upgrade FlashMagic from 2.20 to 2.40 and I find that the CRC read from the device (P89LPC931) is erroneous. In version 2.20 the CRC read is correct, in version 2.40 it's not. :puzzled:

I would like to make a correction. The problem is not the CRC, but the error is in the device programming. The programming is not correct in the version 2.40, so the read CRC does not match with the hex file CRC.

Is this using the exact same device, hardware, serial cable, hex file and Flash Magic options? If any of those have changed then it is unknown where the problem is.

What makes you certain the programming did not work? Does your program not execute? Did you change the hex file at all?

Do you still have the installation for 2.20 - if so can you switch back to it and confirm the same hex file that has a problem with 2.40 works fine when programmed with 2.20, using the same hardware, device, serial cable, PC and FM settings?
