Feature Requests / Re: ISP software in linux
April 20, 2006, 11:38:02 AM
There is a small group that do not (want to) realize that using Linux cut them off from all products where the volume does not allow the cost of maintaining 2 versions.

There is no Keil for Linux, no CodeWright for Linux, no Raisonance for Linux, no Ceibo for Linux, no NoHau for Linux  etc so why should there be a FlashMagic for Linux.

All the above have had Linux version requests and not responded.

I'm not a "Linux hater" or a "Windows lover" just a realist.

It is just that when I am searching for infos, I don't like to waste much time, so I put outstanding queries as much as I can, on different fora and groups.

Yes, and the you expect unpaid help from somebody that may not "have the time" but takes it out of his/her schedule to help you.

You have no right to flame anybody!
(And that relates to the "RTFM")
RTFM is perfectly legal advice to those that are too lazy (and use the euphemism "do not have the time") to read the manual.

And YOU have no "right" to post that your little feelings have got hurt, if you do not "have the time" why the h... should someone else have it?

Change your attitude, thats all.
I suggest YOU do that

UNPAID help does not allow you to be critical of its form

LDO r5egulators u8se PNP, "regular" regulators use NPN.  Could that have something to do with it.

ANyhow I LIKE your suggestion of a MOSFET and wonder why Keil did not do that in the first place.

It sometimes happens that a microcontroller can't be reprogrammed by sending a break to start the bootloader.

Then take "the backdoor" and modify it for the LPC (please post it when done)

i do not understand what you actually are saying, but why do you not just use NoTouch and all these problems becomes distant memories.

General / Re: Question about backdoor.doc by eric

Not anything you will read out from the datasheets but you can find it out yourself experimenting with IAP using a terminal program rather than FLIP, if you are brave enough (or if you have a parallel programmer at hand :-)

FLIP??? in a FlashMagic forum, that is high treason

if you use one npn Tr then Vdd drops below 2.7v

Someone WHINES "I did not folloow the instructions, how come it does not work" This stupid issue comes up in every forum about once a week.

If you can not follow instructions, whine in private, why make the world know.

IAP is NOT "dangerous" it just requires that you THINK (gasp)

I have seen more IAP that could not handel a power interruption than Carter has liver pills.

maybe the HI-LO-Systems GANG-08P3 programmer which I have never heard about erases the ISP code in the top sector.
