Command Line progress/status
« on: March 05, 2007, 10:38:01 am »
I would really be nice to see some sort of progress bar or changing status that reflects what the program is doing when programming a hex file.  I.E. progress bar (increasing ...) or what it's currently doing such as erasing blocks or programming pages.

Originally the intention was to allow people to be able to call the command line interface from a custom application and then parse the result. This allows simple, custom programs to be developed. Providing progress information would make the output more complex to parse. I'm not sure how many people are doing this and I would be interested in finding out.
